Our Riding School

Oak Meadow Farm is proud to offer horseback riding lessons to students of all ages (3+) and ability levels. We have a dedicated and experienced staff as well as reliable school horses. Our program is designed so that riders progress to new instructors when the reach a certain ability level. This allows our staff to focus specifically on the needs of their level students. The program also teaches students the necessary horsemanship skills to progress on to leasing or owning their own horse, should this be something they wish to do.

Semester Schedule

Our riding school runs on a semester schedule, with 13 weeks in a semester. The 13 weeks are broken up into 12 weeks of lessons, and an additional week for make-ups. Make-up lessons for vacations or other exceptions may be taken during the semester at the discretion of your instructor. The fee for a semester is $495.

New Customers

New customers are welcome to come to the farm at any time for a 3-lesson introductory package. We feel that 3 lessons are adequate to help a new rider or new customer decide if they’d like to continue riding at Oak Meadow Farm. The fee for 3 lessons is $135. In the event that your 3-lesson package ends and a new semester has not yet begun, we can tailor a pro-rated package to meet your needs until the next semester starts.

Schooling Shows

We host monthly schooling shows during the warmer months which are available to all of our students. Schooling shows help students have a goal for their riding, as well as assess their improvement since the last show. We also host a large series of rated horse shows, which students taking a minimum of two lessons per week are welcome to take part in. The farm regularly travels to locally rated horse shows and one again, students taking two lessons per week are welcome to take part.
